Korelasi Antara Umur Dengan Jumlah Investasi Masyarakat Sangatta Utara Kutai Timur

Abstract. Based on the results of observations, it is observed that the village of North Sangatta has rapid economic growth followed by the development of mining, especially the presence of large mining company PT. Kaltim Prima Coach (KPC). The phenomenon of increasing economic activity driven by the mining and service sectors opens up opportunities for people to allocate part of their income into investment activities. However, there have not been many studies that specifically review how age characteristics affect the decisions and amount of investment of the community in this village. In addition, East Kutai is one of the largest mining cities in Indonesia, so it can attract many foreign and domestic investors. This is evidenced by East Kutai becoming the region with the highest absorption of FDI investment in East Kalimantan in 2022. This study aims to find out whether there is a correlation between age and the amount of investment of the people of North Sangatta. This type of research includes field research using a quantitative approach. The approach of this study uses data collection techniques that complement each other, namely the technique of filling out questionnaires by researchers to obtain data from 68 respondents which uses the Snowball Sampling technique. From the results of the study, which has been analyzed using non-parametric statistical methods. The results of the Spearman correlation test showed a significant positive relationship between age and the amount of investment with a correlation coefficient of 0.474 having a moderate/moderate correlation level. This shows that the higher the age, the more investment the amount of investment also tends to increase, the age referred to in this study is the productive age of 15-64 years. So it can be concluded that age and the amount of investment have a correlation.
